DON HUMASON TO KICK OFF CAMPAIGN FOR RELECTION
TO WESTFIELD'S STATE REPRESENTATIVE SEAT
Don Humason, Jr., Westfield's State Representative, will hold a Campaign Kick-off Reception at Piccolo’s Ristorante on Elm Street in downtown Westfield on Monday, June 19 from 5:30 -7:30 PM.
The Kick-off reception is FREE but donations will be accepted at the door.
Humason is serving in his second two-year term as the state representative for the 4th Hampden District, which consists entirely of the city of Westfield.
"In the short time I've been Westfield's State Representative, I have been effective at promoting my city and helping my constituents," Humason said. "I've worked closely with city leaders, businesses, community activists, and my fellow legislators at the State House. As I promised, I've been available, accessible, approachable, and accountable."
Humason cited his help with projects like the Lowe's distribution center, installation of the Courthouse flagpole, replacing Horton's Bridge, reconstruction and naming of the National Guard Way bridges on Route 20, building the new administration building at Barnes Airport, and the soon-to-be-started Great River Bridge project.
- "Through my legislative and committee work in Boston I am proud not just of what I've done, like passing 3 balanced budgets, more local aid for Westfield, and tougher penalties for repeat drunk drivers, but what I've stopped from being done: in-state tuition for illegal immigrants, an unfair retroactive capital gains tax increase, and onerous charitable reporting rules for churches," Humason said.
Humason, a Republican, maintains a District Office at 64 Noble Street in Westfield. He is the son of Westfield firefighter Donald Humason, Sr., and Highland Elementary School nurse Alberta Humason, of Bates Road, Westfield.
