Humason, Jr. with the Richard T. Moore Legislator of the Year Award. “It was a great pleasure to have been able to present Representative Humason with this award,” said Jim Wallace, Executive Director of Gun Owners’ Action League. “The Representative has been a staunch supporter of protecting the civil rights of the citizens of our Commonwealth as well as working hard on issues relating to sportsmen and professional wildlife management.” “I am honored to receive this award from GOAL and I want to thank them for their advocacy and education on Beacon Hill on behalf of the 2nd Amendment,” Humason said. “I’d also like to thank my grandfather, dad, and mother. It was my mom who gave me my first rifle when I was 17. It had been a gift to her from her father. They all instilled in me a love of the outdoors as well as an enjoyment of the shooting sports and the safe and responsible handling of firearms.” Humason also credited the Westfield Sportsman’s Club. “Despite the tragic accident at the club 16 months ago, the Westfield Sportsman’s Club and its members and officers are committed to providing a safe environment to learn about the shooting sports and practice the necessary skills to handle guns in a legal, safe, and responsible manner.” Humason thanked GOAL and pledged to continue his work on Beacon Hill to urge his fellow legislators to respect the 2nd Amendment and support law abiding, responsible gun owners while punishing criminals and those who use firearms in an inappropriate manner. REPRESENTATIVE DON HUMASON RECEIVES “LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR” AWARD FROM MASSACHUSETTS GUN OWNERS’ ACTION LEAGUE

At their annual meeting at Storrowton Tavern in West Springfield, on February 20, 2010, the Massachusetts Gun Owners’ Action League was pleased to present Massachusetts State Representative Donald F. Humason, Jr. with the Richard T. Moore Legislator of the Year Award.
