The ideal intern is usually a college student who receives some sort of school credit for the structured internship experience. Retired individuals may also find the work interesting. Positions are available immediately. Preference will be given to individuals from Westfield. “I make sure that interns in my office are actively involved in nearly every aspect of running the office; from researching legislation to tracking bills to reading newspaper articles to answering constituent correspondence,” Humason said. “Interns will work along with me and my Chief of Staff, Sarah Latour.” The positions are unpaid and non-partisan. There are no party requirements. Don Humason, Jr., Westfield’s State Representative, is seeking interns who are interested in working in his Westfield district office or State House office.
