REPRESENTATIVE HUMASON SEEKS LEGISLATIVE INTERNS FOR BOSTON

Don Humason, Jr., Westfield's State Representative, is seeking interns who are interested in working in his State House office in Boston.

The ideal intern is usually a college student who receives school credit for a structured internship experience.  The position is available immediately.  Preference will be given to individuals from Westfield.

"There's a lot of activity at the State House," Humason said.  "Plus we take in a great deal of mail and phone calls.  Since I try to be in Westfield as much as possible, I'm looking for someone to help me with the day to day operation in Boston."

The position is unpaid and non-partisan.  There are no party requirements.  A resume, references, or writing sample may be required.

"I make sure that interns in my office are actively involved in nearly every aspect of running the office; from researching legislation to tracking bills to reading newspaper articles to answering constituent correspondence," Humason said.  "Interns will work along with me and my Chief of Staff, Sarah Latour."

Those interested may contact Rep. Humason or his Chief of Staff, Sarah Latour, at his Westfield office on 64 Noble Street, phone number 568-1366.  "If anybody has a son or daughter at school in Boston who they think might be interested, please give me a call," Humason concluded.
