Letter to the Editor

Next Tuesday, voters have a clear choice in the Republican Primary for United States Senate, and I am supporting my friend and colleague, State Senator Scott Brown.

I have known Scott Brown since I was first elected to the Massachusetts House in 2003 and have served along side him in the legislature.  When Scott was a member of the House, he and I sat next to each other in the House Chamber.  You can get to know a lot about a person working that close.

Scott Brown has a strong record of cutting taxes, reforming government, and fighting AGAINST waste and FOR common sense policies.

I am certain that he will bring the same common sense attitude to Capital Hill as he has to Beacon Hill.

Scott Brown has a record working to strengthen our economy. He has worked to improve the business climate in Massachusetts to maintain and create new jobs. He has been named a "Guardian of Small Business" by the National Federation of Business for his tireless efforts to fix our local economy.

Scott Brown has been a leader in reforming our sex offender laws to keep our citizens safe.

Scott Brown has been a member of the National Guard for 30 years and is the only candidate in the race with military and homeland security experience.

I know Scott well and have worked side by side with him for 7 years.  Scott is hard worker and an independent thinker who listens to his constituents and does what is right for those he represents.  Scott Brown is an attorney, a legislator, a husband, a father, and a soldier.  I have no doubt that he will be an outstanding U.S. Senator.

Please join me in casting a vote for Scott Brown on Tuesday, December 8th.

Thank you.
