Representative Humason adds New Legislative Aide to Staff
Don Humason, Jr., Westfield’s State Representative, is pleased to announce that Jonelle Gingrich has joined his legislative office. “I’m very happy to welcome Jonelle Gingrich to my staff,” Humason said. “She and Sarah Latour will work together helping me to represent the good people of Westfield and the 4th Hampden District.” Jonelle will be working in Humason’s Boston office, Room 542 at the Massachusetts State House. She will primarily be responsible for budgetary, legislative, and constituent matters. A recent graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Jonelle received Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Affairs with a regional concentration of Asia, and Geography. She also completed a minor in Political Science. While at the University, she was a member of the National College Republicans as well as an active participant in the International Affairs Society as part of the Elliott School of International Affairs. She also completed several internships for various Washington entities. Jonelle is a resident of Sandwich, Massachusetts. She began her political career as a legislative intern for Representative Jeffrey Perry (R-Sandwich) during the summer of 2004, and continued a close working relationship with that office helping out at special events and interning again in the summer of 2005. It was her internships in Representative Perry’s office, however, that brought her back to Massachusetts to start her career as part of Representative Humason’s staff. “I am looking forward to this opportunity to work with some great, hard working people,” Gingrich said, “Working in the House of Representatives has always been a rewarding experience for me, and I am very excited to be able to help Representative Humason with his efforts on behalf of the people of Westfield he represents. This is not just a job to me, but the start to a career.” “I am certain that Jonelle Gingrich will bring a fresh new perspective to my staff. Her enthusiasm, experience, and education make her an ideal fit and I am looking forward to all that we will be able to accomplish with her assistance,” Humason said. “I encourage my constituents to extend a warm Westfield welcome to Jonelle over the next few weeks.” Humason indicated he will be bringing Jonelle to Westfield over the summer months to show her around and help acquaint her with the people, places, history, and institutions of the Whip City.
