Humason Makes State Summer Job Applications Available to Local Students
Don Humason, Jr., Westfield's State Representative, announced today he has applications available for the Commonwealth's Seasonal Training and Employment Program (STEP). STEP offers summer job positions through the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) at area state parks, pools, ponds, or forests. "Governor Patrick’s Office of Human Resources is once again facilitating the hiring process for DCR," Humason said. "Students looking for a summer job can feel free to call me or stop by my office for an application." The seasonal positions include lifeguards, clerks, summer workers and laborers, and are available at state swimming pools/areas, campgrounds, and recreational/picnic areas. The number of positions is limited. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Rep. Humason's district office, phone number 568-1366, is located at 64 Noble Street in Westfield. Completed applications should be returned to Rep. Humason's office by Friday, March 28, 2008.
